Pushed Too Far:The Evolving Legal Implications of School Bullying

The Northeastern University Law Journal will host a Symposium on March 30, 2012 to discuss and analyze the evolving legal implications of school bullying. Registration begins at 8:30 AM and the Panels run from 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM. There is no cost to attend and more information about our schedule of events will be forthcoming.

David Sullivan, District Attorney for the Northwestern District of Massachusetts, and Gary Mayerson, lead counsel for the plaintiffs in the recently decided case of T.K. v. New York City Dept. of Educ., 779 F.Supp.2d 289 (E.D.N.Y. 2011), will each deliver a keynote address. Five panels will take a more in-depth look at specific aspects of the school bullying debate. Some of the areas to be discussed include Criminalizing School Bullying, Hazing in Higher Education, and Cyberbullying and the First Amendment.

The event promises to be an engaging and educational experience for those in attendance. Don't miss this opportunity to see a number of legal experts talk about the problem of school bullying and what can be done about it.
